Register To Vote 

You must be registered to vote in the 2025 November election!

To register in New Jersey, you must be:

  • A United States citizen

  • A resident of the county for 30 days before the election

  • At least 17 years old, though you may not vote until you have reached the age of 18

  • A person not serving a sentence of incarceration as the result of a conviction of any indictable offense under the laws of this or another state or of the United States.

To register online you need your birthdate and either a NJ Driver’s License or the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.

Vote By Mail

You can choose to have your ballot sent directly to your mailbox, making it easy to vote from home. After filling it out, you have three options for returning your mail-in ballot:

​

1. By Mail: Ballots must be postmarked no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day and received by your county Board of Elections within 6 days after Election Day.

​

2. Secure Drop Box: Deposit your ballot into one of your county’s official secure drop boxes by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

​

Important: Mail-in ballots cannot be dropped off at an Early Voting site or at a polling place on Election Day.
